Year 6/7 Transition – Secondary School awaits….

As students begin to return to school, one group who will definitely be focusing on the future, are our Year 6 students.

They will soon be moving up to Secondary School. This is a huge step for our youngsters to go through, but this year, we have students who are in the unique position of preparing for Secondary school in a time after lockdown. However, we are sure that they will meet this challenge with the same enthusiasm they have put in to the past few weeks.

Everything changes - uniforms, teachers, the timing of the school day and routines, to name but a few; but through it all, the school is as keen as parents are to ensure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.  Mr. Kinlan met with parents on Friday to introduce them to Year 7 and all that their youngsters have to look forward to. Yes, there are some challenges ahead as we negotiate our way around returning to school after lockdown, and all of the additional excitement and nervousness that entails.
