We are proud to announce the outstanding achievements of our International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme students at Prague British International School (PBIS). The IB Diploma results 2025 reflect not only their academic abilities, but also the personal growth and resilience our students have developed during their time at PBIS through various project and activities.
This year, our graduating class achieved 99% pass rate and an impressive average IB score of 34, well above the global average of 30.6. Across 25 IB subject areas, students achieved an average subject score of 5.40, with 28% of candidates achieving 37 or more average score points (maximum 45 points).
We extend special recognition to Emily and Hyewon, who achieved the maximum 45 points out of a possible 45, placing them among the top 1% of performers worldwide.

It is wonderful to see the connections between student successes and the experiences that invigorate learning along the way. Alongside the vast majority of Language B grades coming in at 6 or 7, it is no coincidence to see great outcomes in Theatre and Visual Arts (100% of arts grades at 5, 6 or 7) when students put on outstanding exhibitions and performances, or take LAMDA exams. It is also no coincidence to see STEAM students' passion for H2GP racing and robotics support their success in Physics and Computer Science (almost half of Higher Level physics, maths and computer science grades at 6 or 7)''. Our graduates have received offers from top-ranked universities across the world, including institutions in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, the Czech Republic, South Korea and other countries. Many of these offers come from institutions ranked among the top 200 universities globally, such as Carnegie Mellon University, New York University, King’s College London, Delft University of Technology, etc. Our graduates are also heading to leading Czech universities, including the Czech Technical University in Prague, Charles University, and the Prague University of Economics and Business.
As our students go on to become future entrepreneurs, developers, engineers, physicists, scientists, artists, actors, singers, journalists, politicians, doctors, business owners or pursue careers that don’t even exist yet, we know they’re ready to face whatever challenges come their way.
The IB Diploma Programme not only prepares students for success in higher education but also equips them with essential transferable skills such as critical thinking, research, communication, and time management. These are the attributes that shape successful students into future-ready professionals.

Michal and Jaroslav, our IB students and members of the Entrepreneurship Club, have clear expectations from the club: they want to learn about themselves and enhance their knowledge and skills in building a business.

Come on, it’s not rocket science. For some people it is! A 2022 graduate from PBIS, Ilyes is currently working on his bachelor's degree with a focus on mechanical engineering, physics, and computer science at Sorbonne University in Paris. Apart from his academic work, he’s also working on a modest side project: developing a jet engine. His approach, in his own words, is to “learn as much as possible about everything” so he can apply his knowledge to real-world situations and make the world a smarter, better place.
