Physics students from St Andrews Bangkok made quite an impression at the Beamline for Schools (BL4S) competition and won the Best Outreach Award for their brilliant work. BL4S is a prestigious global physics contest organised by CERN (the European Laboratory for Particle Physics in Geneva, Switzerland) and DESY (the German Electron Synchrotron in Hamburg, Germany), inviting High School students worldwide to propose detailed experiments to be conducted at a particle accelerator beamline. While our students did not win the main prize of conducting their experiment in Geneva, they still stood out and were recognised from an entry of over 400 teams.

Organized by The Rainbow Room to raise awareness for neurodiversity, the event saw students, parents, and teachers promoting wellness and inclusivity. A special thanks to Mr Andrew, Mr Dan, Mr Hugh, and Mr Sean, whose efforts in mascot costumes helped raise 21,100 THB. The school is proud of the community's generosity and support for such a meaningful cause.

From 12 to 19 June, three of our students at St Andrews Bangkok concluded their academic year attending the NAE-UNICEF Summit 2024 held in Houston, Texas. In a week-long series of panel discussions that highlight the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), students had the opportunity to engage with each other as delegates. Their visit to Houston allowed them to gain insight from experienced speakers, discuss various issues of global importance affecting young people today, and develop practical skills of dialogue and advocacy.

Blog STA ROTC Programme: Training Thai youth for military service and leadership
For over eight years, St Andrews International School Bangkok has proudly hosted the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) for the Royal Thai Army, a vital programme for Thai youth in Key Stage 4 and 5 (Years 10-13). The three-year optional programme offers comprehensive military training, culminating in the prestigious Acting Sub-Lieutenant rank and exemption from Thai army conscription, promoting maturity, character, and leadership.
