Thursday, 21st September, dawned bright and clear for World Peace Day and we gathered on the field to share a special moment in the morning. Mr. Paul spoke to everyone about developing a peaceful attitude of teamwork and sharing in school, so that our students may take this out into the world with them when they leave St Andrews in the future. Two Year 6 girls, Zoe and Anni, read a beautiful poem that really set the scene. Then Years 1-6 sang their peaceful but rousing song “Sing a Song in Unison” and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Speaking to the children afterwards, they reported their feelings whilst singing together. Their responses included feelings of calm, fun at being altogether and happiness. Enzo in Y4 said he felt grateful and his class all agreed that we are very lucky compared to some other children at different schools around the world.

We will share our video of our song very soon and hope you enjoy it.
