The Simon Lawrence Library is glad to welcome you all and looks forward to lots of reading as well as fun this school year. A new search tool is available to guide students to appropriate websites for their study.
Welcome back.
We hope everyone had a relaxing, restful time during the school break. Throughout the break, the Simon Lawrence Library received a lot of new books and is now looking forward to welcoming you to the Library to enjoy these exciting new titles as well as fun events we have planned for this school year, details of which will appear in future Newsletters. We are counting on your ongoing support and participation in our Library events and we hope to make the Simon Lawrence Library an even more amazing place for the High School community in 2018-2019. Should you have any ideas/suggestions/opinions, please feel free to contact us at libraryhs@standrews.ac.th.
We have updated our library system with new books and we now have two OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) stations in the Library. One is near the entrance and the other is on the pole next to the Fiction section. You can access our library system, Destiny, by entering a keyword or phrase into the Destiny Widget to search for a book you want to read or find any available digital resources related to your research topic. In addition, our library system comes with a fantastic feature called “WebPath Express” in the “Catalog” tab. You can type your topic, e.g., Water Quality Control, in the search bar and press enter. Then select on the right, the tab "Web Sites". The search result will show you selected reliable websites with regards to your entered topic. You can even narrow it down by level, format and even language! A perfect and safe way of browsing the internet. We hope you enjoy new features in the library.
At St Andrews Bangkok, we believe that every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and included both inside and outside the classroom. That’s why we are incredibly proud to introduce the Friendship Benches project, an initiative designed to foster connection, kindness, and community spirit across the school.
From 25th May to 27th May, St Andrews International School Bangkok proudly hosted the 2025 Nord Anglia SEA STEAM Festival. Students from across Southeast Asia came together for three inspiring days of creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. This year’s big question: “How can we reduce or repurpose school waste to create a lasting impact in our communities and environment?”
From cultural celebrations and hands-on STEAM challenges to expert talks and a final showcase of student-led projects, the festival was a true celebration of innovation and sustainability.
NAE Global Campus received a staggering 3,300 entries from 66 Nord Anglia schools all around the world, and one student from STA shone bright, winning Best in Show in the Art Music category: a big congratulations to Freya in Year 8 for her truly outstanding achievement and stellar performance!
