Nine students from St Andrews International School Bangkok participated in the annual ISB String Festival where they performed some challenging pieces as part of a full string orchestra. It was a great opportunity to develop musically as well as make lots of new friends.

Last Friday and Saturday, 9 St  Andrews students attended the annual ISB String Festival. The students were: Winnie, Merika, Ton, Merey, Sari, Perm, Mimi, Pop and Jaeyoon.

Here is a festival report written by Winnie in Year 9:

“At ISB, we practiced music in a full string orchestra including other violins, violas, cellos and double basses. While practicing we did get little breaks so that we could rest. Some of the pieces were really fast and a challenge to learn. We practiced until we were ready to perform which took many hours, but we had fun together and made new friends. I enjoyed the String Festival since I got to spend more time with my friends and also make new friends as well. I also hope to go to more festivals and more concerts to gain more experience.”

The Festival was lead by Soo Han, who travelled from the US to work with the students, who all attend schools in Bangkok. Well done to all the students.
