Flames U13 3on3 Championships

On Saturday, we hosted our first U13 3on3. We had several other schools and a basketball academy here for a fast and furious day of non-stop bball action!

It was great to see 45 STA students participate and work so hard to be the best that they can be.

Our Flames teams both won their Championships and our Girls Blaze team won the Consolation Draw. Well done also to Nana who won the girls’ skills challenge.

Tennis

The U13 Tennis season is still in full flow with our players travelling to Ruamrudee International School last Thursday. We played some excellent tennis and managed to come away with a full set of positive results, it was a great learning experience. We are particularly impressed at how well some of our primary students have been able to apply and represent themselves in the older age groups. It just goes to show that if we go on court relaxed and smiling, with progress and long term development in our thoughts, we can achieve anything!

Next week will see some of our U13 boys travel to NIST and our youngest Primary students travel to Bangkok Patana for a Mini Tennis festival. Some of our older players will also get the chance to get some match practice in during their friendly event with BPS on Friday night.

If you would like to get involved in our Tennis programme we have lots of opportunities available for all players! Please contact Coach Pair at pair.ch@standrews.ac.th for more information.

Parent Activities

We actively encourage our amazing parent body to be involved with us and keep fit. This sends a wonderful message to our students about leading healthy, active lifestyles both as children and as adults.

In collaboration with the PTG, we offer organised sessions covering a range of sports and activities at school, using our facilities. These include volleyball, yoga, fitness, swimming, running, Zumba, tennis. Some of these are run by our own staff and others are run by external staff.

Details about these will be sent to you and sign-ups are on Moodle, just as for ECAs. Key personnel will be Ann, who has children at High School and will be the parent liaison for this; and Miss Aanchal, in the High School Office (Front Desk) aanchal.mi@standrews.ac.th

We love seeing parents work out during the day on campus - please come and join our active social circle.

(PS Volleyball is represented by our own Spicey Spikers, who even play against our girl’s team each term. Having lost some players last term, they’re now looking for new members. No need to be experienced - it’s all a bit of fun! Please contact Miss Jo (jo.fa@standrews.ac.th. First session is at HS tomorrow, 21 August at 2.45pm).
