PTG: Community-building

PTG: Community-building A great benefit of International Day is the strengthening of our community. The German community has been catching up regularly and enjoying excellent German cuisine. Preparations are nearly finished for Fun Day on Saturday, 2 February 2019 at the Primary School. The PTG Committee would still appreciate the donation of raffle prizes. Please get in touch.

Thank you to those parents who came to the PTG meeting last Thursday which was held at High School. Mr Roo and Mr Steve updated parents on developments across the school as well as ongoing issues of concern to the parent community, for example the increased use of E-Books to reduce the weight of students’ bags and measures being taken to protect our students during this period of particularly bad air pollution.

Community-building

One of the great benefits of International Day at St Andrews International School Bangkok is the way in which new friendships are built. The German community have started meeting regularly for lunch. Last week, 23 parents enjoyed the Bavarian menu nugs of beer at Alexander's German Eatery. Many thanks to Angelika Sasse for organizing another great get-together. It was a great opportunity to catch up and chat about ongoing issues.

Fun Day 2019

Plans are well under way for St Andrews International School Bangkok’s Fun Day which will be held on Saturday, 2 February 2019 at the Primary School. Rides are secured and food and shopping vendors are booking their places. This is always a great day for parents to relax while their children enjoy a day packed with fun in a safe environment. Entry bracelets go on sale this week and can be purchased from the Accounts Offices at both High School and Primary School. Information was sent to all parents by email on Friday of last week. Raffle tickets will be sent home with the students this week. We have some amazing prizes up for grabs so buy as many tickets as you can. Please remember that this is the only fund-raising event for the PTG in the year. The more money we raise through entry bracelets and the sale of raffle tickets, the more money we have to support our students and community.

Raffle Prizes

Thank you to everyone who has already donated raffle prizes for Fun Day. We would still welcome some more as we would like to offer as many prizes as possible. If you are in a position to donate a prize (for example a restaurant voucher, yoga sessions, a nice bottle of wine….) please get in touch with us (ptgchair@standrews.ac.th). All donations of prizes are most gratefully received.

Keep in touch with Facebook

Don’t forget the PTG’s Facebook group where you can find out lots of useful information about school as well as getting used to living in Bangkok if you are new to the city. If you would like to contact us about something specific, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by email on ptgchair@standrews.ac.th.
