We welcomed two EDT (Education Development Trust) inspectors, Sally Lane and David Bowles, to the High School, for a tour, a number of meetings, including with a group of students, and an afternoon visiting a range of lessons. We were lucky enough to see a sneak preview of the first number from the upcoming Performing Arts production, ‘Broadway Mashup’.

Today we welcomed two EDT (Education Development Trust) inspectors, Sally Lane and David Bowles, to the High School, for a tour of the High School, a number of meetings, including with a group of students, and an afternoon visiting a range of lessons.

As our previous EDT Accreditation, in May 2018, found us to be Outstanding for every Standard (see the highlights above or click on the link for the full report), the focus of this visit is on a number of developments in the school since then, focused on three areas:

  • Assessment, Data & Tracking

  • VSE, Technology and Pedagogy

  • Wellbeing

Tomorrow, Sally and David will visit the Primary School, and we look forward to their feedback as we reflect on the year and plan further continuous improvement across the school for next year.

We began our tour of the High School this morning in the Theatre, where we were lucky enough to see a sneak preview of the first number from this week’s High School Production: Broadway Mashup.

The students are all really looking forward to this week’s performances, and to performing to live audiences. Tickets are  sold out, but we have reserved seats at Tuesday and Wednesday Matinee performances for Year 6 as part of their next Transition Day, focused on the Arts. We would like to remind all parents attending that they will need to show Security either a named dated ATK test or a photo of a named dated ATK test before they enter.

Thank you all again for your understanding and support as we work together to keep our community safe and healthy. It is great to see our lowest number of students for some time not in school for COVID-related reasons, and I thank you all for your support in keeping students with a temperature, a cough, a fever, loss of smell, taste or appetite, a headache, a sore throat, diarrhoea or any other illness at home - this updated list of symptoms is included in our Back to School slides.

University Update

Below is the updated infographic showing the number, and range, of university offers and acceptances received by Year 13 students. Depending on the country and university, offers are given out at different times and with various application deadlines, we therefore expect this list to continue to grow significantly over the coming weeks and months.
