FOBISIA Poetry Competition | St Andrews Bangkok

FOBISIA Poetry Competition | St Andrews Bangkok - fobisiapoetry

This year's FOBISIA Primary Poetry Competition invited students in Key Stage 2 to write poems around the theme 'Where I Go'.  They could interpret this in any way they wished. There were two categories: Years 3&4 and Years 5&6.

All the children who entered the competition should be so happy with their efforts, as they really worked hard to create beautifully constructed poems. House points were awarded to all entrants, and additional house points were award to the top entries in each category.

Years 3&4
1st place - Emerson, Year 4 • ‘Fly Little Butterfly’

FOBISIA FINALISTS

Only ONE entry could be sent for each category for the final judging against all the other FOBISIA schools. These were the two entries that were chosen:

Years 3&4
1st place - Emerson, Year 4 • ‘Fly Little Butterfly’

Years 5&6
1st place - Lily, Year 5 • ‘Where I Go’

As the winners from St Andrews, both children also receive a Kinokuniya book voucher. Well done to both finalists.

THE RESULTS ARE IN!
FOBISIA has just announced the results, and Emerson was chosen as  the runner-up of the Years 3&4 category! What an AMAZING achievement! She receives a lovely certificate, as well as wonderful feedback from the judge, who is a poet, director and educator: Sara Hirsch. Congratulations, Emerson!
