Exploration Sessions

VEX

St Andrews International School Bangkok is the host of VEX Robotics Competitions in Thailand. We host both the VIQC National and VRC National events. VEX Robotics is integrated school-wide from Year 4 up to Year 13 using the entire VEX Robotics consortium, this is integrated both into the curriculum in different year groups as well as a heavy emphasis on ECAs for coaching teams for the National events. Our St Andrews (STA) teams have qualified four times for the World Championships over the last few years and we run very exciting, vibrant competitions similar to what students, teachers and coaches experience in the World Championships in the USA.

STEAM

Nord Anglia Education has teamed up with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), one of the most influential universities in the world, to design a new approach to learning the interdisciplinary subjects of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths).

STEAM education recognises that to be successful in technical fields, individuals must also be creative and use critical thinking skills which are best developed through exposure to the arts. Through hands-on practical problem-solving, this new approach to STEAM subjects will help students to develop the skills essential for success in the 21st century.

Sustainability

Our school emphasizes sustainability through initiatives like SusSTEAMability Week, where each year group leads projects promoting a more sustainable mindset and daily habits. The students actively engage in impactful projects, such as Year 2's exploration of clothing waste, emphasizing reuse, recycling, and raising awareness about the environmental impact of fast fashion. The collective efforts of our school community aim to move towards carbon neutrality, fostering a sense of responsibility and inspiring positive actions for a more sustainable future.

There’s no better way to discover if St Andrews Bangkok is the right fit for your family than visiting us in person. Join us and experience our school in action, we can’t wait to show you around!

This will be an in-person event. For those interested in joining, please complete the registration form by Friday 1st March 2024.
