VEX VIQRC Tournament

On Saturday, 22nd November 2025, St Andrews Bangkok hosted the VEX VIQRC Mix and Match Tournament, welcoming 80 teams from across Thailand. We ran both the Elementary and Middle School divisions, along with the Non-REC RAT League, all on the same day.

Pulling off an event of this scale is never easy. A huge thank you goes to our incredible Estates, IT, Marketing, Academic, and Admin teams for making it all possible. We would also like to give special thanks to our judges, including members of the STA PTG (Parent Teacher Group) and teachers from outside St Andrews, for volunteering their time to support the competition.

Our events are now run in partnership with the RAT Foundation, a non-profit organisation created to support and expand STEM events and promote developments in STEM education across Asia.

A special thank you to Mr Rob, who organises these tournaments, as well as Mr Sam, Mr Matt, Ms Ashley, Khun Cher, Khroo Oat, and Khun Frong, Mr Mathew, Ms Lizzy and Khun Art for volunteering at this event. Thank you to our Year 12 and 13 student volunteers who worked with us as Head Referees, Scorekeepers and Queue Managers.

To top off an already successful day, we celebrated the achievements of our incredible VEX IQ teams. These teams compete without adult coaches on the day -  special thanks to our Year 13 student coaches, Senaa and Ari, for guiding them.
