They creatively swung, not a club, but their hands in throwing a disc in a 9-Disc Golf game.

Their body strength was put to the test as they spidered to the top of the wall, with some not wanting to come down, not because of too much excitement but because of acrophobia.

Vkirirom’s mountain was the school and home for our Grade 10 students for a three-day learning experience, which started with a series of team building opportunities. 

Divided in six groups, a friendly competition emerged among the Grade 10 students. All enjoyed the non-stop pivot as they dizzily hit the claypot.

Centipede race, Hula race, and zumo bubble got the best of their competitive spirits; a testament of the veracity of teamwork.

The beauty of nature stole the dark clouds in their heads as they trekked the mountain, and their exhaustion was satisfied by the lull of the flowing water in a boulder-filled stream.

Before surrendering to their tents, they serenaded their night with music as they played guitar and sang to their favorite tunes, proving that the demarcation line set by their teachers would not and could not break their camaraderie. 

Students educating students at Chambok Primary School, a local school in Kirirom, was the highlight of this trip. Although everybody came prepared, the Grade 10 realized the necessity to adjust their lessons according to their student learner profile.

Apart from feeling fulfilled from having imparted knowledge and skills, it was a reflective journey for the Grade 10 students after learning the importance of adaptation. 

Grade 10 went back to Phnom Penh from their mountain experience with an enlightened sense of teamwork, camaraderie, and service.
