Nord Anglia Education are pleased to welcome Mark Orrow-Whiting as Director of Curriculum and Student Performance

We are delighted to announce that Mark Orrow-Whiting will be joining our education team as Director of Curriculum and Student Performance from 1st April 2011.

Until recently, Mark was Senior National Policy Adviser for the UK Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA) and he has played a leading role in developments in the English National Curriculum since 2004. Mark was responsible for the recent primary and early years curriculum introduced into England, and worked with a thousand co-development schools for the implementation.

Mark has extensive international experience at both policy and school levels. He has worked on curriculum in countries as diverse as China, the Maldives and in the European Union and he was also the Vice Principal of a school in Cameroon. A science teacher by background, Mark has also led as Head of Science in London schools, teaching A-level Physics and science more generally.

Mark’s appointment marks a deliberate decision to increase focused support for our Schools and Learning Services at the student level.
