As part of a global family of schools, NAE students excel. NAE’s educational approach enables every student to reach high levels of academic, personal and social success. Its schools offer rigorous and compelling curricula which are respected by the world's top universities, and encourage critical thinking, teamwork and leadership.
This year marks a record-breaking year for NAE with the IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education), with 50.1 per cent of grades being at the equivalent of A*/A (grades 7-9 in the new GCSE framework). This is especially impressive in comparison to the 20.6 per cent of students across the UK achieving the same results.
Andy Puttock, Group Head of Education, said: “One aspect that is truly inspiring about our IGCSE results is the consistent high quality when taking into consideration NAE’s rapidly growing number of schools. We remain committed to every student achieving beyond what they thought possible and are always ambitious for every child. We believe they can do this thanks to our transformational approach to teaching and learning.”
The top position belongs to the British International School of Kuala Lumpur, with an astounding 74.6 per cent of grades at A*/A. The British International School, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam closely followed with 73 per cent achieving the same high level, followed by 70.4 per cent at Nord Anglia International School Shanghai, Pudong and then 66 per cent at Nord Anglia International School Dubai.
NAE’s A-level results were equally as impressive for the 2018/2019 academic year, with 39 per cent of grades at A*/A. This result is well above the global average of 25.2 per cent. Similarly, 63.8 per cent of grades were A*/B for the year, also well above the global average of 51.1 per cent. This year’s A-level results represent one of the group’s strongest performances in its history.
