Meet Lisa Mulligan, one of our FS2 Teachers!

“I am passionate about child development and recognising how young children learn about the world around themselves. In particular, I am fascinated by the way children’s mathematical knowledge and number sense develop.”

Name and a little bit about you:

I am Lisa Mulligan.  Originally from the U.K. I grew up and did most of my schooling in South Africa. In 2009, I left the beautiful city of Cape Town and my career as a doctor, to move with my young family to Abu Dhabi. My two boys enrolled in a brand new school, BIS Abu Dhabi, and I was soon invited to join the BIS Abu Dhabi family. After working as an Assistant Teacher, I realised that teaching was my new passion and I decided to get my teaching qualifications. The rest, as they say, is history. I stayed on at the school and have enjoyed watching BIS Abu Dhabi grow from that first day into the vibrant and international community that it is today.
