Inspired by this display, our Secondary Librarian took up the challenge of learning to solve the Rubik's Cube, setting an inspiring example for others. This newfound enthusiasm spread quickly, and soon a group of students eagerly embarked on their Rubik's Cube solving journey.
The participants of the tournament demonstrated remarkable progress, with 10 out of the 13 achieving solve times in under a minute. This was a testament to their dedication and perseverance. The remaining three participants, who started their Rubik's Cube journey just this September, also showcased impressive skills, achieving solve times in under one minute and thirty seconds.
The tournament not only provided a platform for students to showcase their Rubik's Cube solving skills, but also fostered team spirit and healthy competition. The participants' determination and enthusiasm was contagious, inspiring others to join in the fun and challenge themselves to learn this mind-boggling puzzle.
As the Rubik's Cube craze continues to sweep through BIS Abu Dhabi, we plan to host another tournament soon, to track the progress of its budding cube solvers. This initiative aims to not only encourage problem-solving skills and dexterity but also cultivates a supportive community where students can share their passion and inspire each another.
