Progress Check Tests - Preparing your child for success
The Progress Check Tests are formal tests that are completed throughout the year in order to establish how well each student is doing and provide opportunities for support afterwards in a more personalised way. In addition to this it helps prepare the students for the upcoming challenges of their IGCSE or IB external examinations.

The Importance of our Aide Memoire- Perseverance
We have been back just over a week and our Year 13 students are beginning to realise the size of the challenge that faces the final year IBDP student. Students are making improvements to their extended essay prior to feedback from their personal tutors. The extended essay is an essential part of the IB. It is a 4,000 word piece of extended writing based on independent research. Students must achieve a passing grade for their extended essay (grade D or above) or they will fail their diploma.

Caring Primary Students
It has been a busy week in the Primary school, with the children being on full timetable and starting specialist lessons. Our superhero Captain Care is the theme for this half-term. Caring is one of our six characteristics that are part of our aide-memoire and Captain Care has been spotted around school this week. We have been talking about caring for each other but also how we take care of our belongings, our school and the environment.

Welcome back to the new school year. It was wonderful to meet the new families on Tuesday and to welcome back our returning students the following day.
