For another year running British International School of Houston (BISH) students' have achieved impressive I/GCSE results with 98% students achieving  5+ A*- C grades.

"I would like to congratulate our students on the outstanding I/GCSE results they achieved again this year. These exceptional outcomes are due to the hard work of our students, the support of their parents and, of course, the dedication and personalised approach of our teachers. We improve year after year because our students, teachers and parents come together as a community and work together to accomplish exceptional learning,” said Andrew Derry, Principal of BISH.

The I/GCSE are internationally respected qualifications completed by students aged 14 to 16 years old. Respected by universities, they cover a broad range of subjects including languages, humanities, social sciences, mathematics, computer science and more.

The I/GCSE is one of the most academically challenging qualifications offered to students worldwide and serves as   a solid foundation for the rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

The continued success in our I/GCSE results is a testament to BISH’s high academic standards, excellent teaching and the hard work and dedication of students.

  • 91% achieved 5+ A*-C, including English and Maths.

On behalf of our school community, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our teachers and parents for always inspiring and challenging our students to be ambitious and achieve more than they may have thought possible.

A continuation of the English National Curriculum, the full two-year program features a combination of coursework and exam work. Students generally take eight subjects and, upon passing, are awarded qualifications in a full range of core subjects including languages, sciences, humanities, social sciences, arts and design and mathematics. Top universities around the world look to these qualifications as a benchmark of academic performance when considering applications.
