Year 12 students at BIS Houston are making a difference for local families in need this holiday!

Our Year 12 students are helping to ensure that underserved families in the Houston area have presents to open this holiday season through our Angel Tree program, including volunteering at the Salvation Army warehouse.

Every child deserves to experience the joy of Christmas morning. The Salvation Army Angel Tree program helps provide Christmas gifts for local families in the Houston area each year. Once a child or senior adult has been registered and accepted as an Angel their Christmas wish list is shared with donors in our community who purchase gifts of new clothing and toys. The gifts are then distributed to the family to place under their family Christmas tree.

BIS Houston students are empowered to become changemakers who help make the world a better place.  Their horizons are broadened so they are globally minded, and they are actively involved in learning about global issues. We encourage all our students to help tackle issues in their own communities, and we give them the tools to do so successfully.

Students are encouraged to take part in outreach activities, volunteer projects, and fundraising and the support for the Angel Tree Progam is just one example of many.
