We are excited to announce that the NRICH Maths Roadshow will be travelling from Cambridge to visit us here at BISB on Monday and Tuesday 9th and 10th November.
NRICH produces problem-solving resources which are used in Mathematics lessons throughout the school. The Roadshow will consist of sessions each lasting from 50 to 60 minutes. "The aim of the sessions is to give an opportunity for pupils of all ages, and their teachers, to engage in discussion, co-operation, activity, investigation, [and] problem solving and enjoy the experience of being involved in 'maths' in a new context." During each session, pupils will have a chance to try different activities which present "creative methods of exploring mathematics and stimulating mathematical curiosity and which are in the form of games, puzzles and mathematical challenges." Each pupil from Years 3 to 9 will have the opportunity to participate in one of the sessions during the Roadshow's visit to our school. We hope you are all looking forward to it as much as we are!
