Academic Quality and Success

BISW students continually achieve strong results in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Our average score of 33 is four points higher than the IB global average, widening the gap between ourselves and other IB schools around the world.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, commonly referred to as the IBDP, is a two-year education programme for students age 16-19. The programme is a widely accepted and recognised qualification for entry into higher education and universities worldwide.  Each individual subject is graded from 7-1 with a maximum score of 45 points.

The International General Certificate of Education, commonly known as the IGCSE is operated by Cambridge University Assessments as is for students aged 14-16.  These qualifications are recognised in a many countries across the world and are a substitute for national qualifications at the same age.  Each individual subject is graded from A*-G.
