Activities with our Head Boy

As students return to campus, ensuring that there are appropriate activities to do at break and at lunch has been a focus; fortunately, our Head Boy and Head Girl have taken up this challenge. Here our Head Boy, Lucas, speaks about his new initiative to get Senior Students talking at break times and the reasons behind his ideas:

“Over the past two weeks I have organized a lunch time discussion activity for all senior students. One of my primary goals was to make discussion and casual debating accessible to all. I have worked towards this goal by setting topics that many can relate to such as art, uniform and media. I have taken into account that every student has differing confidence and English ability, therefore the discussion is designed to be one on one and in a casual format. Every discussion I have with a student, I try and encourage them to justify their opinions and respond to counter arguments. My aim for each student is to make them consider their preconceived views and to be able to respond to differing views with confidence.”
