BSN Excels at MUN: Fostering Global Citizenship BSN

At BSN we're always striving for our students to attain the academic achievements they need to pursue their dreams, but we're also passionate about giving them opportunities to expand their experiences outside the classroom, turning them into responsible global citizens and giving them the extra-curricular experiences which are both personally valuable, and highly prized by the great universities of the world.

In accordance with this, on the weekend of October 14 our students attended a Model United Nations Conference. In MUN students take on the role of delegates to the UN, and together with their peers grapple with a range of global challenges. In doing so they learn about complex international issues, develop confidence in speaking and debating, and in the difficult but vital process of engaging in dialogue and compromise with others who have different perspectives and interests. We always believe in our students, and they naturally didn't let us down. Of the 5 top prizes at the conference BSN students won 2 of them, congratulations go to Andy and Jiwon. Additionally two more students were nominated for honorable mentions, meaning they were in the running for one of these top prizes but narrowly missed out. Again, congratulations to to Harry and Apple as well as all our students who attended this event. We'll be hoping and expecting a similar great experience when we attend a conference in Shanghai in the new year.
