This year in our school our anti-bullying week focused on #RESPECT. We acknowledge that bullying can raise itself in any circumstances and we should have constant vigilance to stop it should it happen in our school. Current school students grow up in a world where bullying can follow them home when it happens. Technology has made it possible for bullying to continue via social media and various communication platforms. At BST, we believe that by creating a culture of respect will teach our students the right from wrong and equip them with the needed tools to take a stand against bullying. We have formed a #RESPECT team, which includes students, staff, and support staff. The #RESPECT team will focus on being there for those who feel they are being bullied or as a friendly person to talk to if they feel lonely or isolated. We hope that this team would create that safe space for those who need it. Posters with words of encouragement against bullies have been put up across the school for all to see. A school survey was completed, and results were very positive. The majority off our school felt safe and enjoy coming to school. We remain positive to reach our main target of having all students feel safe. Our anti bullying policy has also been updated and will be available to our school community should they wish to see it.
