"Outstanding results at BVIS, Hanoi… there is no other way to describe the exceptional effort of our students in this our first year of sitting IGCSE examinations. I am extremely proud of their results and know how much this means to all concerned. It is the first step along the road to access at the world’s finest universities, studying the subjects they are passionate about.

“As a first set of results at BVIS Hanoi, they also make a huge statement about the expertise of our teaching staff. The results demonstrate our commitment to delivering the highest quality of education through our Bilingual and International curriculum programmes at the school. There is not a single native English speaker in this examination cohort, which makes the results even more noteworthy. One cohort of students, our A Level Foundation students, completed their IGCSE programme having been with us for less than one year. Their achievements are outstanding.

“The central thrust of our school’s philosophy is for all to “Be Ambitious”. With these results, there are no limits to what our students can achieve here in Vietnam, sitting international examinations!

“UK statistics for 2016 are not yet available but when compared to the 2015 performance, BVIS Hanoi stands out even more clearly as a school that delivers success. The benchmark for IGCSE results is A* to C and 96.9% of our BVIS students achieved these grades as opposed to a UK national average of 68.8%. For all fee paying schools in the UK, the average was 94.5%. Our students really have done themselves proud." Mark Sayer Principal of BVIS Hanoi said.

We would also like to congratulate our teachers for another exceptional year. Your commitment to our students and school are evident in these high-reaching academic results. On behalf of the parents and school, we would like to extend our thanks for always challenging our students to achieve more than what they could have thought possible.

Internationally-respected, the General Certificates of Secondary Education (GCSE) and International General Certificates of Secondary Education (IGCSE) are the most academically challenging courses currently on offer to 14-16 year old students worldwide.

A continuation of the English National Curriculum, the full two-year program features a combination of coursework and exam work. Students will generally take ten courses and upon passing are awarded qualifications in a full range of core subjects including languages, sciences, humanities, social sciences, arts and design and mathematics. Top universities around the world look to these qualifications as an extra benchmark of performance when considering applications.

OUTSTANDING SUCCESS

With learning tailored to their talents and interests, our students earn outstanding academic results that place them among the highest achievers in Vietnam.
