HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA

For the first time in 2023 at BVIS Hanoi, we introduced the High School Diploma curriculum pathway for our students. This now gives our students even more academic learning pathways and qualifications as they apply to the best universities in the world.

By completing the standard IGCSE lessons and exams, students will qualify for a large part of the credits in Years 10 and 11. In Years 12 and 13, students can then choose to follow the A Level Pathway which also counts towards the credits of the Diploma or follow the singular Diploma pathway, where the focus is purely on gaining the High School Diploma certificate. For some students a combinations of A Level and Diploma is the perfect fit.

In addition to the academic requirements, students also must:

Have good attendance
Meet the Co-Curricular requirement
Meet the Community Service requirement
Attend regular Physical Education
Attend regular PHSE lessons

All academic and extracurricular work from Year 10 – Year 13 (inclusive) will help students gain the credits required to pass the Diploma. The Diploma is awarded at the end of Year 13.

THE DIPLOMA PATHWAY IN YEARS 12 AND 13

As part of the Diploma programme, students have the opportunity to complete Cambridge International courses, including the Cambridge International Project Qualification (IPQ), ASDAN qualifications in subjects including Maths, Computer Science and Geography, as well as the ASDAN International Gold Award. Students will also take the lead on Community Service projects that will support those in need within our local community, ensuring they become well-rounded global citizens with excellent leadership skills.

UNIVERSITY GUIDANCE

Our teachers and dedicated University Guidance Counsellor work closely with each student to build their personal profile and portfolio of skills. This maximises their chance of getting into their first-choice university destination.

Every year, our graduates receive offers from top universities around the globe, including in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, and Vietnam.
