A New School Year, Shaped by Continuous Improvement

Parent feedback helps us understand what we are doing well – and where we can go further.

Ahead of the 2026–2027 academic year, BVIS Hanoi has continued to invest across both our Primary and Secondary campuses, turning our commitment to continuous improvement into visible action.

Our latest Parent Satisfaction Survey showed encouraging progress. Nearly 350 BVIS families participated, with a 50% response rate – higher than the Nord Anglia Education global average. Notably, 92% of facilities-related items received more positive responses than the previous year, with an average increase of five percentage points. Facilities were also among the five themes most frequently mentioned positively by parents.

Following the survey, one of the priorities we shared with families was clear: to continue renovating and upgrading our school facilities.

This summer, that commitment has been put into action.

From Feedback to Action

Parent confidence in our learning environment is already strong, with positive responses across classrooms, library and research facilities, sports facilities, performing arts spaces and IT teaching facilities.

Several areas also recorded significant year-on-year improvements, including our canteen and dining areas, sports facilities and playground and play spaces.

For us, these results are both encouraging and motivating. They show that our investment is making a difference, while reinforcing our commitment to keep improving the spaces students use every day.

New Spaces for Exploration and Learning

In Primary, one of the most significant developments is the transformation of our STEAM learning spaces.

New purpose-built rooms for Years 1–2 and Years 3–6 feature practical areas for experimentation, flexible layouts for collaboration and dedicated spaces to showcase student work.

These spaces are designed not simply to look new, but to help students question, investigate, create and solve problems through hands-on learning.

More Confidence on Stage

Our Secondary auditorium and performing arts spaces have also undergone significant improvements.

The wooden stage has been restored, technical and backstage areas refined, and changing, storage and lobby spaces upgraded. Music and practice rooms are also benefiting from improved soundproofing.

With 80% of parents responding positively about performing arts facilities, these improvements build on existing strengths while creating an even better environment for students to rehearse, perform and develop confidence.

Better Spaces to Connect and Recharge

A strong school experience extends beyond the classroom.

This summer, our Secondary outdoor areas are being redesigned with new surfaces, landscaped spaces, shaded seating, quieter zones and covered walkways.

These improvements provide more comfortable spaces for students to connect, relax and recharge between lessons, while making outdoor areas more usable throughout the year.
Positive parent feedback for playground and play spaces has already increased by eight percentage points compared with last year.

More Opportunities to Stay Active

Our sports facilities are also being refreshed, with the football pitch relaid, basketball court repainted and new shading systems introduced across key sporting areas.

In the latest survey, 81% of families responded positively about sports facilities – nine percentage points higher than the previous year.

These upgrades will help students enjoy PE, sport and outdoor activities more comfortably in different weather conditions.

Improving the Everyday Experience

Some of the most meaningful improvements are the ones students experience every day.

The Secondary canteen is being upgraded with two additional food service counters and a better flow, helping to reduce waiting times and improve the lunchtime experience.

This builds on strong parent feedback, with positive responses for the canteen and dining area increasing by 11 percentage points year on year.

Across the wider campus, further improvements include new Mathematics classroom furnishings, replacement blinds, upgraded Science facilities, refreshed corridors, a new Sixth Form meeting room, improved parent and guest facilities, additional storage and general maintenance.

Individually, these may seem like small changes. Together, they help make each school day more comfortable, effective and enjoyable.

Investment with a Clear Purpose

At BVIS Hanoi, investment in facilities is not simply about creating new spaces.

It is about what those spaces enable students to do: explore, create, perform, stay active, connect and learn more effectively.

Our Parent Satisfaction Survey helps us understand where we are making progress and where we can continue to improve.

As students return for the 2026–2027 academic year, they will see many spaces that look different. More importantly, they will experience a campus that continues to evolve around their learning, wellbeing and development.
