Aisling worked for years in the biotechnology industry before seeking a change. She came to Vietnam for a holiday and decided at that time that she wanted to live here! She completed a CELTA in Cambridge and moved to Vietnam in 2018 to start working as an ESL teacher. After 1 year, she knew education was for her and started to look for roles teaching science. Since 2019, she has been a Secondary Science Teacher, teaching IGCSE and A-level biology as well as Checkpoint Science. While working as a science teacher, she also moved through some additional roles in her previous school, taking on lab management, Health and Safety, and Lead in Behaviour Management. She's excited for the change BVIS will bring and can't wait to get back into the classroom!
When not in school, you can probably find her trying out some new dance class (not that she's very good at it) or playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends (which she's much better at than dancing!).
