Originally from Wales in the UK, Cerys has been in education for 25 years working in the state, independent and non-maintained sectors. She has had an exciting career to date with amazing experiences that have truly enhanced her philosophies and principles as an educationalist.
Cerys has recently relocated from Lima, Peru where she was the Early Years Phase Leader. Prior to this, she was the Head of the Pre-Nursery & Nursery at Dulwich College (Singapore) for 6 very happy years. Before overseas beckoned, she worked for 4 years as the Early Years Advisory Teacher for the Local Authority, supporting nursery settings in practice and provision and preparing them for inspections. She is a trained Nursery Inspector. Previously to this she was the Head of Early Years in a large primary school in Cardiff. She worked with an amazing team of practitioners and delightful children for 6 years, leading the Foundation Phase and supporting the Headteacher as part of his Senior Leadership Team.
Before her own children were born, she worked for 6 years in a wonderful Independent school on the edge of Richmond Park, London in beautiful surroundings. As a passionate Early Years Leader, her classroom practice always follows the childrenís interests through a carefully supported curriculum. Her students will have fun, learn through their play and be suitably challenged to achieve their potential.
She comes to Vietnam with her husband Jason, a childrenís Football Club owner, and her two children Eleri (18) and Isaac (14). She is a keen runner and enjoys designing and making her own clothes.
