Colleenís origins are in Portsmouth, England. She holds a BA in Mathematics and Education, along with being a trained Duke of Edinburgh International Award Leader/Supervisor. She is currently pursuing a CELTA qualification and Masterís. Her previous teaching experience has been in an all girls' school in the South of England (UK), the Nord Anglia School in Beijing, and an English School in Egypt. Her subject is Mathematics although her roles have been varied, from classroom teacher, to Assistant IB Coordinator to more recently the Head of Sixth Form and Careers Advisor.
As a Classroom practitioner, she makes her lessons relevant to the real world. She actively encourages all to be a part of an inclusive learning environment, using creativity in lessons. As a pastoral leader/advisor, she believes in the achievement of all. Colleen enjoys being part of the process that enables students to move from school to university with success.
In her spare time, she is a keen Kayaker and enjoys being on the water, hoping one day to travel down a river, such as the Danube, from source to outlet. She is really looking forward to working and living in Vietnam as she enjoys experiencing different cultures and new challenges. Vietnam holds a special place in her heart due to its wonderful scenery and warm welcome.
