Deana completed her PGCE at the University of Huddersfield in 2011 after being inspired by her own college lecturers to become a teacher. She returned to her former college to teach both disciplines of Media Studies and Fine Art. Prior to this, she worked on iconic British soap operas, as a newsreader for a regional Manchester radio station and as a community art assistant.
Since then she has taught at colleges and schools in the UK, Cambodia and Kazakhstan and is passionate about developing studentsí creativity and critical thinking to have the skills to contribute to the creative and digital world.
In her spare time, Deana is a keen hiker and snowboarder, she is an avid Rugby Union fan and loves to travel and experience different cuisines. She has very fond memories of South-East Asia and is excited to work in Vietnam.
