Since completing her PGCE in 2009, Nura has worked in schools across London and has focussed on maximising student progress through holistically supporting young people in overcoming barriers to learning. She moved to China in 2018 to work at an international school, an experience which has given her a deeper insight into cross-cultural approaches to education. Her school responsibilities have included being a Head of Year, Head of Department, Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Head.
Outside of teaching, Nura enjoys reading, watching documentaries, cooking and learning about new cultures. She is looking forward to her next chapter at BVIS and is excited to positively contribute to the school community.
