Nord Anglia Education was founded in 1972 in the United Kingdom. The name Nord Anglia was chosen because of the company’s beginnings in the north of England. We initially offered learning services such as English as a foreign language classes and grew during the 1980s by opening full-scale nurseries and kindergartens. In 1992, we opened our first international school, the British School of Warsaw. In the 2000s, Nord Anglia Education began a strategic focus on premium international schools, with rapid growth in Asia, the Americas, China and across Europe and the Middle East. A truly international organisation, Nord Anglia Education now operates premium international schools worldwide.
Over the last six years Nord Anglia Education has grown significantly, now with schools across the globe from Beijing to Sao Paulo. The London headquarters serves as a hub for our five regional offices Dubai, Geneva, Ho Chi Minh City, Shanghai and soon in Miami. The London headquarters also supports our 61 schools around the world.
Helping to create tomorrow's change makers
Our approach to personalised learning is further enhanced through collaborations with world-leading organisations such as MIT, Juilliard and UNICEF. Our global scale enables us to attract and retain the best talent in the world, and we support them offering world-class professional development such as our Executive Master's in International Education at King’s College, London, exclusively designed for our employees only.
Work with purpose
Our commitment to social purpose ensures your work has meaning beyond the task at hand. Over the next decade Nord Anglia Education will commit $100m towards the establishment of a charitable foundation, aimed at creating the world's leading social change programme for children.
This is all part of the collaborative teams we build at Nord Anglia Education, ensuring our employees have a strong sense of belonging where they love coming to work.
