TYPES OF SEESAW POSTS YOU MAY SEE
Images or videos
|
These will provide a captured moment of learning or a learning experience. Teachers may also ask students to take images of work or a learning process in order to capture evidence, especially if it hasn’t been more formally captured in a text book. It is possible to upload up to 10 photos in one upload, which allows the opportunity to show a process of learning or a series of moments captured across a period of time.

Unit of learning explanation
|
At the beginning of each new unit, teachers may share an overview of the unit for students to refer to and as a source of information for parents. These will share the theme, an short overview and the conceptual lens’ which will be focused on during that unit.

Evidence of Learning
|
There may be occasions when Seesaw is used as the platform teachers ask students to show the result of their learning or as a time to share some learning with family. This may be through uploading a picture of written work, an upload from a piece of work completed digitally.

Activity
|
Within Seesaw, teachers are able to create a pre-determined activity and assign this to a class or individual students. These can include multiple pages and could be a template which provides specific places to insert text, drawing, photos, audio, or video. These are often visible in the Computing Journal, as many of the lessons resources and learning activities are set up in this manner.

As a parent, you get login access with the opportunity to view all journals your child or children are allocated to. Using the app or website, you can access multiple children’s accounts with one login once you have first been invited by the school. And, because all journals are linked using unique student IDs, all historical journals are also accessible.
Seesaw provides support for families for whom English isn’t their native language with the ability for written content on the app to be translated into the default language of the user’s device. There are links towards the bottom of the page to pages which answer some common questions that we get from families.
