EXTRAORDINARY OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL
Life-changing experiences inspire our students to achieve more than they imagined possible.

TAKING YOUR CHILD FURTHER

At Dover Court, outstanding personalised learning opportunities enable our students to do what they love, take on new challenges, and achieve amazing things.

Your child will have the opportunity to go on expeditions to Switzerland, Borneo, and Tanzania, boosting their confidence and independence. They’ll effect local and global change through social, leadership, and environmental projects. And they’ll do what they love at more than 250 co-curricular activities, including The Duke of Edinburgh International Award, DCIS Wolves sports teams, and animation, debating, and 3D printing clubs.

Of course, your child’s wellbeing is at the heart of every experience we offer. Our expert inclusion team provide the care, support, and attention they need to feel happy, confident, and motivated.

Drama
Our students enjoy a world-class performing arts experience through our exclusive collaboration with The Juilliard School. In our ultra-modern Expressive Arts Centre, aspiring actors and performers learn from specialist instructors and artists in purpose-built spaces. Our ‘junior actors’, ‘drama for young thespians’, and ‘centre stage’ clubs explore acting techniques and approaches, while our Alice in Wonderland production brings students together to put on a spectacular show.

STEAM
Innovation abounds on our co-curricular STEAM programme, which is enhanced by our collaboration with MIT. Each activity provides a unique opportunity to deepen our students’ understanding of key concepts – and spark curiosity. At our ‘solving global issues using tech’ club, students use their programming skills to create energy saving smart devices for homes. Truly unique activities, like our Lego masters, digital escape room, robotics, and ‘how to build a city’ clubs, encourage our students to think critically, creatively, and solve problems.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award
The world’s leading youth achievement programme gives older students the opportunity to set their own goals and challenges, take part in activities they know and enjoy, and try something different. They also get involved in community service projects that make a big difference. As they progress through the programme your child will develop resilience, learn more about themselves, and grow in confidence.

Sport and PE
Our students love to get moving. Every child has access to sport in and beyond the curriculum, which boosts their physical and mental health, develops transferable skills, and brings friends together. Our clubs offer something for everyone, from badminton, basketball, and tennis to yoga, Futsal, and judo. Students excel on the pitch and court representing Dover Court with pride as part of our DCIS Wolves teams.

Creative arts
A broad spectrum of opportunities gives every child the space, medium, and time to express themselves creatively. Our younger students use Lego, clay, and plasticine to create stop-motion animations, try their hand at traditional Chinese painting, and learn about illustration at our Manga art club. At secondary, older students create multi-sensory pieces, discover the ancient art of Kirigami, and make sure nothing goes to waste at our junk modelling club. There’s lots of fun to be had at board game, jewellery making, and storytelling clubs, too!

Music
At Dover Court, your child can join an orchestra, band, or choir, or enjoy the challenge of learning an instrument. They’ll learn from the very best teachers, who will help them to become virtuoso piano, violin, or flute instrumentalists. Talented musicians shine on stage at productions and concerts, while our co-curricular clubs welcome musicians of all abilities. These include our ‘showtime singers’ acapella club and ‘music around the world’ programme, which explores global sounds and much more.

Local excursions
There’s so much to see and do in our wonderful city, from cultural trips to museums and galleries to adventures in the great outdoors.

Local excursions

School trips are a vital part of our curriculum, enabling children of all ages to transfer learning into contexts beyond the classroom.

Our younger students love exploring, enjoying trips to the Singapore Zoo, the Insect and Butterfly Park, and Gardens by the Bay. Our older students embrace the diversity and culture of our city, visiting the Urban Redevelopment Authority Museum and Centre Stage School of the Arts.

We’re lucky to be located next to a beautiful park, too. Our students spend time learning about nature, enjoying the fresh air, and socialising with friends.

Residential trips
Located in the heart of Singapore, we’re ideally placed to explore everything that Southeast Asia has to offer.

Residential trips

We offer a range of immersive overnight trips away from our campus, which add an exciting element to every child’s education.

From helping to build clean water and sanitation systems in Borneo to supporting the Meals on Flip Flops project in northern Thailand, our carefully planned residentials widen our students’ perspectives, empower them to make a difference, and bring global issues to life.

On other adventures – like our Year 6 residential to Tioman Island in Malaysia –your child can kayak, snorkel, climb, and hike, as well as learn about environmental challenges and different cultures. These trips accelerate our students’ holistic development, as they take personal responsibility, become increasingly independent, and grow in confidence.

Global expeditions
Our children join Nord Anglia students from across the globe on exhilarating expeditions to Tanzania, Switzerland, and New York. They also participate in global and regional orchestras and sports tournaments.

Global expeditions

The personal challenge expedition in Les Martinets in Switzerland encourages our students to push themselves and take risks. Set in the beautiful Swiss Alps, students hike through the mountains and take on a series of challenges. Students also learn important skills – like cooking and working together under pressure – while creating cherished memories that stay with them forever.

Our citizenship trip to Arusha in Tanzania teaches students about global responsibility and sustainability, and the important role we play in looking after our planet. Working with locals on a variety of projects, students develop a sense of independence, increase their understanding of the world, and learn the importance of being part of a community.

Every year, a group of Dover Court students take part in workshops, seminars, and debates at the United Nations’ (UN) High Level Political Forum and Model UN event in New York, US. Through this exclusive experience, our students collaborate with staff, contribute to committees, and influence world leaders.

STUDENT WELLBEING

MAKING SURE EVERY CHILD IS HEARD AND INCLUDED

Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at Dover Court. We embrace individuality, spread kindness, and foster an environment where every student is heard and supported. Our inclusive education pathways and commitment to personalised teaching ensures they’re happy, engaged, and motivated, too.

Through our specialist inclusion team, your child will also have access to expert support, whenever they need it. This includes an educational psychologist, occupational therapists, counsellors, and dedicated pastoral staff. We also run bespoke wellbeing and personal, social, health, and economic (PSHE) programmes, which give our students the tools to look after themselves and others, form positive relationships, and develop resilience.

OUR SOCIAL PURPOSE

EMPOWERED TO CHANGE THE WORLD

Our students are a genuine force for good. Whether it’s finding solutions to global challenges, fundraising for local causes, or taking on leadership roles in school, your child will become a principled, open minded global citizen who makes a real difference.

Your child will stand up for what they believe in and make their voice heard through our exclusive collaboration with UNICEF. They’ll come together as a community to support local charities like Curious Thoughts Giving, which promotes literacy in underprivileged communities. And they’ll drive inclusion, improvement, and innovation across our campus, taking the lead at our Student Council, as House captains, and by becoming school ambassadors.
