8AH presented an assembly this morning on the importance of resilience. The main message of the assembly was to never give up in the pursuit of your goals.
8AH were encouraging their fellow students to pick themselves up when they face difficulties and keep trying. The students played a clip showing rock hopper penguins who are the only penguins that move by jumping rather than sliding on their bellies. They are very fast in the water but they are very clumsy on land. The penguins try to get to the clifftops by hopping and they are knocked back and have to start again many, many times. These penguins encapsulate perseverance and resilience; so remember everyone – be a penguin!
