Where there’s smoke there’s not always fire. Our Secondary Maths day started with the study of topology using arm gestures and smoke machines! And continued with problem solving using only paper to construct dodecahedrons. The students learned that teamwork trumps ability and that the properties of a torus allows smoke rings to be fired from the stage and hit the back wall of the Cooper Hall. The students really enjoyed themselves and their discussions during the workshops were incredibly insightful. Thank you to all who helped organise and especially thank you to Zoe Griffiths for sharing her knowledge with us.
