Last Wednesday Michael Ng and Esther Seah Hui En from The Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) visited the history department.
Michael and Esther volunteered their time to teach our Year 7 students archaeology within their history lessons. These sessions gave an introduction to the different types of archaeology and the benefits of finding physical remains for discovering about the past.
Michael and Esther brought with them some exciting finds from excavation sites in Singapore and let the students handle these pieces of Singapore’s past. They were also kind enough to answer the students' questions about archaeology - a fantastic opportunity for our Year 7 history students. The students were amazing learners and we hope that we can welcome Michael and Esther back to Dover Court to run more archeology sessions.
