A Spotty Dotty Day in Nursery and Reception!

DCIS EYFS DOT Day Link 01
A Spotty Dotty Day in Nursery and Reception! International Dot Day was created to encourage people of all ages to harness their creativity and it has grown to be a worldwide celebration each year. In Dover Court's EYFS, the students got busy with writing, drawing, painting, or other creative outlets.

International Dot Day was created to encourage people of all ages to harness their creativity and it has grown to be a worldwide celebration each year. In EYFS our students got busy with writing, drawing, painting, or other creative outlets.

The children in Early Years Foundation Stage have been head to toe in spots as they celebrated International Dot Day today.

The children were inspired by the story of The Dot to create their own art pieces and have been creating own dot painting using cotton buds in the style of Kandinsky. They have been exploring shape, texture, making new colours and changing the sizes of their dots.

The day was a fantastic opportunity for us both to practise our gross and fine motor movements and to brighten up the school!
