Years 10 – 13 (IGCSE and IBDP)

  • Students need to be advanced/proficient in English.

  • We will also asses the level of Mathematics

  • We’ll assess all students and will need evidence that they’ll be able to complete these demanding programmes

  • We’ll need to discuss whether we offer the appropriate subject choices

  • Year 10  average class size is 20 students.

  • Our IGCSE classes are generally up to 22 pupils, our IB subject groups to 15. Waiting lists operate after this.

Where there are two or more classes in a group, the schools’ policy is to organise the children to achieve as close a balance as possible, considering the following factors: language experience, nationality, ability and gender.

Parents can express their preference though do not have the option to make the final decision regarding their child’s class group or teacher. In all issues of child placement the school Principal’s decision is final.

Our school has a Learning Support policy based on provision available. The acceptance of students with highlighted learning needs will be defined by the LS Coordinator. Parents not sharing full information regarding their child’s learning needs upon application put themselves at risk of losing the place once the child has joined the school if the school discovers it is not equipped to best assist and support the child’s development.

With younger children, who begin to display learning difficulties, after they have joined the School at an early age, we work with the parent to resolve these issues and reserve right to help find alternative school, if we are unable to support them from our own resources.
