22 October 2014

Students from six schools competed in 7 a side football tournament on Saturday, 11th October. Danube International School Vienna DISV, Vienna International School VIS, and International Christian School Budapest ICSB, QSI Bratislava QSIB, British International School of Budapest BISBud.

Our first game saw us against VIS. After a slow start in first half against a well-organized team from Vienna (winners of the tournament) the girls improved in the second half and played amazingly well until the end of the tournament, with huge coaching support from Daren King.

The girls secured a 1 – 0 win after a good performance in the second game against ICSB which increased their confidence significantly.

The final game against the QSI was even better. The girls played with passion and won 3 – 1 finishing second.

A positive atmosphere throughout the tournament resulted in a friendly game against BISBud, where all girls including substitutes showed their skills.
