Our Trip to the Fire Station

13 November 2014

On Wednesday 12th November we went to the Dubravka Fire Station.

First we saw the firefighters go quickly down the fire pole to show us how fast they have to get ready to fight a fire. Then we had our snacks in the firefighters’ kitchen.  Next we looked at the big fire trucks.  We got to sit inside the fire trucks.  Then we went outside and sprayed the water hose.  Everyone got to have a go.  Then we went inside again and looked at the fireman’s special clothes.  Then we went outside and saw the big ladder truck lifting up.  We all got to go into the basket, but we couldn’t go up because it was too windy.  Finally we said, “Good bye and thank you, and we went back to school.  It was a super trip.
