News from BISB Cricket Team

28 November 2014

On a cold dark Saturday morning the BISB primary U12s cricket team headed off to Prague for the Czech Cricket Junior Tournament 'Street 20'. The Tournament hosts, Prague British School, Riverside School put on a fantastic show and the games and organisation ran effortlessly.

We played three games in total, our 1st game against English International School Prague (EISP) was tantalizingly close as we lost out by just three runs!

Our second game against English Collage Prague (ECP) was not so close as our batters were quickly dissected by a well drilled bowling team. We recovered well after two defeats, refocused and managed to win our final match against International School Prague (ISP), again a very close game which due to excellent batting on our part we came through to win by five runs.

We didn't make the semi-finals but we all had a wonderful day out and gained valuable game practice and tournament experience. Special congratulations goes to Tom Keys who was picked out from over 50 players and awarded best bowler of the tournament.
