This was reinforced with what we had found out at the beginning of the year when we did the "Week of Inspirational Maths", remembering to think carefully about the activity they were doing. The small gym was buzzing.
We saw children who in the past were not keen on problem solving, coming away with a more positive attitude towards it. Other children thought that the session was "awesome" and "challenging but fun". One child said: "I learnt that it didn't matter if I didn't get the right answer but it was about the way I was trying to find the answer."
We hope that the children will now transfer what they have learnt from the roadshow into their learning in class.
