Y12 German ‘Weihnachtsbakesale’

16 December 2015

As part of their core and options topic Y12 German ‘B’ students learnt in their German lessons about German Christmas traditions, habits and food. To make the learning more fun we baked typical Vanillekipferl, small vanilla nut cakes, in one of our German lessons. While listening to German Christmas songs and learning how to say the kitchen equipment in our target language-German - students measured, mixed and baked. The reason to be so assiduous was our planned ‘Weihnachtsbakesale’ on Monday, 14th  December. During the lunch-break our Y12  students were selling their ‘homemade’ goods for our school charity project, Kramare Hospital. All together we have raised 80,50 euros. Thank you for your support!

Frohe Weihnachten!
Sona Slobodova, Teacher of German
