IB Psychology

13 February 2015

As preparation for the final IB examinations in May, the Year 13 students are busily revising for their mock examinations. The final internal assessment has been carefully crafted and investigations into eye witness testimony and false memories have been studied.

Three students have completed their Extended Essays (A critical 4000 word essay) in branches of Psychology such as: Health and Stress; Industrial Psychology and Motivation Theories; Developmental Psychology - The Impact of Technology on Child Development.

Year 12 students’ have journeyed into the world of the brain and neuro-science, together with genetics and behaviour. These students’ are now studying the cognitive level of analysis which focuses on the structure of how we learn, perception, language, memory and thought. Some of our students are considering further psychological research for their Extended Essay.
