We organised KS3 Eco-Quiz for teams from all form groups with musical performance with instruments made from trash and a lot of ideas about reusing waste. The winning teams got a plant in a pot to take care and they will also plant their blueberry bush in the outdoor classroom. Students could then write their promises to the Earth on the pledge wall.
Eco-committee members supported by a group of IB students spent the day in Primary. They organised art workshops for 12 different classes to show the children that they can make nice things when they reuse materials. Some classes went outside to complete Eco-themed orienteering.
We hope we have inspired many students to start doing their small bit for the planet every day, because every day is earth day.
