They have followed a series of lessons produced by maths education researcher Dr Jo Boaler and her team at youcubed.org. The main message of the lessons is that everyone is capable of learning maths to the highest levels, we do not acquire mathematical ability (or a lack of it!) from our parents, mistakes are important and lead to learning and brain growth, and maths is about developing creativity, thinking deeply and carefully, and making connections, which are important skills to have in all aspects of life.
These are important messages for students to receive, and we hope you will reiterate these to support your children's progress and success in Mathematics. If your children have mentioned these lessons to you and shared some more information with you about them, we encourage you to complete this survey to give the researchers at youcubed.org feedback on the lessons.
