On Tuesday 22nd September Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had Discovery Day. We visited “Life of a Knight.” We played with swords and pretended to kill a dragon. We knocked down a castle door. We practiced battling knights with a shield and sword, played skittles and shot a bow and arrow.
Next we went “Under the Sea”. There we learned about fish and water and we saved the fish from pollution. We learned about wind and played blowing games. We tested things to see if they sank or floated and tested what dissolves in water.
Then we visited “Neverland.” We made fairy cakes and crowns and necklaces. We also decorated fish.
Finally we all went outside and had funny relays. We had a 3-legged race. We also ran like a caterpillar in our teams. At the end we all got sweets to celebrate. It was a great day of discovery!
